Midtown Art House is a community-driven creative space co-founded by artists Sherry Daniel and Joanne Morton in the heart of Savannah’s Midtown district. Designed to uplift both artists and entrepreneurs, Midtown Art House blends studio rentals, co-working, gallery space, and pop-up opportunities—all within a welcoming and inspiring environment.
What makes Midtown Art House unique is the energy behind it. Sherry, a self-taught artist and former business owner of 35+ years, brings bold expression and deep life experience to the vision. Joanne, a Positive Energy Artist, event producer, and community connector, brings a background in creative wellness, engagement, and transformation. Together, they’ve created a space that reflects their shared values: courage, creativity, connection, authenticity, and joy.

My art is about experimenting with vibrant colors and mixing media, textures, words and layers in a meditative freestyle.

We Are Here To Love

Joanne Morton is a multi-media artist whose work is a vibrant exploration of color, texture, and words, blending media in layers that evolve in a meditative freestyle. As a Positive Energy Artist, she uses her creative practice not only to express herself but to inspire and uplift others, promoting a message of collective well-being and healing. Joanne’s art is designed to encourage viewers to take inspired action, becoming a part of the collaborative solutions necessary to heal ourselves and our planet. She is currently working on the “Manifesting Mobile,” an immersive community engagement art project that gathers personal visions for our world—a testament to her belief in the power of community and positive intention.
Joanne’s work is about more than aesthetics; it’s about creating experiences that bring people together through the shared energy of creativity. She offers creative consultations and loves crafting custom art pieces that serve as “zip zaps of positive energy”—perfect for those seeking an infusion of joy and motivation in their lives. Whether through her paintings, which experiment with vibrant colors and mixed media textures, or through community projects that spark connection, Joanne is dedicated to making art that celebrates the possibilities of a brighter, more unified future.
